Phil may have been cooked from the start with his pairing. One barely speaks english and one is one of the slowest on tour. He hates that.

I'm just now tuning in. I see the leader board, but how's it playing? How's the wind? Is it drying to the greens out for the afternoon guys?

One of the firmest I have seen yet. Its dried up and burned already at 2 CT. Wind is almost a non factor at 8 MPH. Probably looking at -2 winning at best so far.

Unless they get some rain, or a really dense fog a few mornings, I don't see a way anyone finishes under par.

Another bogey for Toms, one over after fiteen.

Poulter strikes me as someone who can win this week if it stays firm. Being from England, he can play it as a links course, and probably keep some of the big numbers off his card.
How the hell did that miss the bunker?

Mickelson posts a 75 without a birdie.

Gonna be interesting to watch the afternoon groups today. The course is already hard as a rock.

There's 70 + at 6 over right now, I bet its higher.
Posted on 6/17/10 at 3:16 pm to VernonPLSUfan
Toms birdies 16, back to even.

Everyone within 10 shots makes it at the US Open. There will be an extra 20 or so guys making it beyond the top 60 and ties.
Posted on 6/17/10 at 3:19 pm to LSUGOLFER
Lets say the leaders after tomorrow are around 4 under, doubtful, but for arguments sake. Cut would be at 6 over. Isn't there a number like low 60 players too or something to that effect.

I hope they show lots of Morgan Hoffman. Dude is awesome and only 20. He will be the next big thing. Is is -1 early.

Any thoughts on what Tiger puts up? I'm going with 73
Posted on 6/17/10 at 3:31 pm to 9Fiddy
I think he would sign a 73 right now. Im thinking 75 how he has been putting. This could get ugly.
