Again, I live in Atlanta, so I got to see and hear that stuff up close.

Maybe it is John Fox putting a game plan together that takes advantage of Tebows running skills. I guess no one remembers a game Carolina had with Atlanta, I think 2 years ago, where Carolina passed very little if at all because the did not have a QB, and won the game. John Fox has been in this situation before and managed it successfully. He even has some advantage in that Tebow can hit a pass occasionally. Other teams will probably find a way to stop what they are doing at some point but for now Fox has found an offense that works and Tebow, to his credit, is running the offense.

That's this game:

LINK

Chris Weinke (huh, another Heisman winning QB) won that one. Thus, Chris Weinke is a winner--at least in the minds of some people in this thread.

Why do you go out of your way to dog Tebow? Can you not see that the guy plays hard, and yes, he does inspire his teammates to play hard. I watched him in Tiger Stadium in 2009 walk down the stretching lines and shake hands with every player on his team. All of those players respected him. It looks like, even at this point in the pros, that his teammates are not giving up on him. Even Tom Jackson, who has not been speaking glowingly of Tebow, admitted last Sunday that the Broncos seem to be playing harder now than they were previously. Tom Jackson gave Tebow credit for that leadership.

Why can't you?

Because he's not a good quarterback, no matter how much the fanboys want him to be.

John Skelton is 2-0. You can see how much effort his team mates put out there for him. Thus, John Skelton is a great QB.

Thanks for the link, that is the game I was looking for. The Panthers were the winner and in the standings that is all that counts. Weinke, like Tebow, played his part, did not turn the ball over. In the NFL all that matters is the win. Vick, in that game, was 9-20 and 2 picks.

Who called Tebow a great QB? Who even called him a good QB? (Skip Bayless doesn't count)

The fact is Tebow is protecting the ball and doing enough to help his team win, so why is he getting completely dismissed? You can say how it won't work long-term all you want, but it's working for now. They start winning and all of a sudden it's in spite of Tebow when they haven't been able to win many of the previous 20 they played.

You bring up John Skelton. I don't see ESPN bringing analysts out to critique every pass he throws.

Doesnt really matter where you live, Tebow has been criticized for his innacuracy far more than Vick ever was. While you may have heard it closely in ATL I doubt that you hear the criticism Tebow is surely getting in Denver on a daily basis.

BINGO

ESPN/NFL Network is going out of their way to talk bad about Tebow's quarterbacking. I gave a list of 4 bad quarterback's currently starting in the NFL that nobody ever says a word about. If Tebow is not any good, so be it. Why talk about him constantly? The fans do not control the airwaves, the "talking heads" do and they control what they talk about. For example, Mike and Mike will spend 3 hours talking about either 1) the New York Jets or 2) Tim Tebow. This week has been an orgasm for them cause they get to talk about both at the same time.

Christian Ponder made a couple of nice passes this past Monday Night but he also had 4-5 passes that were just as errant as any throw Tebow has made plus he had two picks. Yet there wasn't a peep out of anyone because he "looked" like a traditional passer while throwing his interceptions.

1) Skelton wasn't hailed as a savior for a franchise.

2) Skelton can complete over 50% of his passes.

3) Skelton didn't cost his team multiple draft picks.

I dont think anyone has said that hes good at being a traditional qb. I am far from a fanboy but I think its fair to say that because of him and his skillset it has allowed denver to go 3-1. Tonight I think we will find out a lot on whether this can be a long term solution for the broncos. Theres a big difference between saying he has helped them win games and saying hes a great QB

Christian Ponder didn't cost the Vikings multiple picks.

Christian Ponder isn't seen as the savior of the franchise, as many Broncos fans and Tebow fanboys see Tebow.

It's because they beat three shitty teams--one of them based on the combination of prevent defense and an onside kick recovery--and you're attributing all of it to Tebow?

Again: Tim Tebow is a terrible NFL quarterback. He's fricking horrible. I, for one, hope the Jets shut the Broncos out tonight.

So now it's an indictment on Tebow that his fans want to see him succeed? And that means that there should be a double standard on how harshly he's criticized compared to other young QBs?

And Yet against one of those teams they had lost to earlier in the year and only gained 28 yards on the ground. They had 299 yards on the ground with Tebow at qb. I think thats pretty telling. Once again I dont know if Tebow can work long term but IMO he has given the broncos a spark and the change up in style being completely different from anything else in the NFL has been key.

It's an indictment on Tebow that he sucks as a QB. Period.

Where's the praise for John Skelton and his 2-0 record as a starter?

John Skelton just wins.

Tebow wasn't either. Most fans were pissed they traded up into the 1st round to get him. But then Orton kept losing so the fans got tired of him and wanted Tebow.

You're right, 50.2% is awesome.

Which is 0% Tebow's fault.

I am laughing at your stance that he is a "savior" of a franchise, when fact is he was seen as a reach and a 3rd roun pick at best. He can't help where he was chosen and what was given up for him.
The fact is he is helping his team win, the offense, no matter how gimmicky you believe it to be, is working. They are 3-1 under Tebow including beating a team that beat them earlier. The Dolphins and Chiefs may not be great but KC was just off an undefeated month, the Dolphins have played hard all season.
Plus no one has said Tebow is a great QB, you are letting your hatred cloud judgement.
