are you the REAL Shane Lecler?

If Springer gets the call in September, can he qualify for rookie of the year next year?

If you're not dense, its hard not to get excited about the future of the Astros. We're not just hanging our hats on 1-2 guys working out. Theres a lot of depth in the system that could be major league quality. And I drool at the idea of
Appel
Rodon
Folty
Cosart

ASrtros have 3 of the top 40 or so picks next year 1-1; 1-33; 2-1
Will there be a change in the amount of money allocated to sign picks as well?

There's some thought the FO would like for him to make a run at being minor league player of the year.
What you're saying may be true, but any ball player would say IDGAF about all that.
That's like a world class sprinter that is only allowed to compete in the under 18 Olympics

He'll maintain his rookie status as long as he doesn't exceed 130 at bats or 45 days on the club.

Not really, we would be lucky if it is considered top 20.

@ChronAstros: Hoes said his family was coming to game in #Orioles orange and black. Have to put on #Astros blue now.

with pitching yes. not sold on depth of impact bats. if Springer/Singleton bust there isn't much close the big leagues yet.
They will be using some of those pitchers to acquire impact bats in the next couple of years most likely.
There are no Corner OF even remotely close to making it.

I still think Domingo Santana will be a power bat when it's all said and done
Posted on 7/31/13 at 4:19 pm to TXGunslinger10
very very raw, but still young. LUnhow does not want many high strikeout guys around. I don't see Santana really making it long term but you never know. I could see Preston tucker or even Aplin making it before him.

He's young and holding his own in AA. I would like to see him start there again next year and see how much he improves.

With the payroll being $13 million, they don't have to. They can spend money in free agency, which they've said they will in the near future
