Before my time. I am not Much of a historian, but a very high level analyst of today’s game.

I would pick Ja. Best driver. Has the potential to be really good defensively.

He just doesn’t play a winning brand of basketball, B. Very surprised we are on different sides of this debate imo

I'm going Morant most likely. I'd take any of them if developing a franchise but I think he has the most upside of the group.

ok great, he is bad at defense. you know who else is bad at defense? shocker! jamal murray and ja morant. trae is worse, but is also much, much better on offense.

trae's offensive side of the ball more than makes up for his defensive deficiencies. you post his DBPM, but not his overall? why is that? because it's better than the others? His per is better, win shares better, traditional stats better, literally anything.

and then to top it off, you bring up luka, who is in no way relevant to this thread. congratulations, you're bad at this.

I'd really be curious to know of all these people that have such strong opinions of Trae have watched more than a few games from this season.

The guy has been tasked with carrying every bit of the offensive load for the Hawks. He gets doubled when he crosses half court a lot of the time.

Murray and Trae Young by a lot.

Okay I get this is supposed to be a debate, but there just isn’t a world here that Ja Morant is 3rd on this list that’s just insane

I think people are aware what he does on offense.

It’s the fact that he might as well not even be on the floor while on defense that has most people reserved about him

Well he is smaller, but I think his defense does suffer some because he is the whole offense. Hawks need some more scorers horribly bad.

Lol it appears anytime someone doesn’t think Dollar General Curry is the best young player in the association, it strikes a nerve with rckchukrkskehawk111

Lol people bring up Luka because that trade was dumb as shite in the moment and looks worse and worse every day. Hawks fans will be hearing about this for the next decade just like Portland never lived down passing on Jordan for Bowie.

Stop crying and get thicker skin. Trae is cute little player who should help the Hawks get a couple of 5 seeds in his prime

I made two posts ITT discussing the OP’s question and added one sentence without even mentioning Luka’s name when you starting crying

Sorry this is such a touchy subject. I would be mad at the front office as well

Bump because Murray has 32 in Game 7 against the preseason favorite Clippers

He did not play a winning brand of NBA basketball until this year.

He progressed as a player. That’s what people wanted to see from him. It helps having Bogdanovic, Capela, and other guys he can trust around him. He used to struggle to trust his teammates. Now, he’s so much better at that.

What’s your point? The question was who would you take going into the future. Him and everyone else in this thread said they would take Morant and Murray over Young because he puts up empty stats and couldn’t lead a winning team. He proved them wrong. End of story.

This is false. He has always played a winning brand of basketball, but you can't win in the NBA w/just kids. You need some grown men around you. He has that now, and we've seen the results.
