Yeah I don't think he's gonna come around and admit he was wrong. Way wrong.

let's get it on record. are you doubling down on the terrible answers/takes in this thread that think that jamal murray is way better than trae young? a "power gap" between them?

as i said previously, ja is going to have a case and time will tell between him and trae. i wont judge someone who thinks ja could come out on top.

jamal murray never had a case and never will. would you like to join the trae haters in this thread and be as wrong as them?

Meh I wouldn’t describe this as a very rough look but even the most elite of basketball minds whiff occasionally. I will own this.

quote:

He did not play a winning brand of NBA basketball until this year.

He progressed as a player. That’s what people wanted to see from him. It helps having Bogdanovic, Capela, and other guys he can trust around him. He used to struggle to trust his teammates. Now, he’s so much better at that.

Also this. My hat is off to the development of Trae, and I am now a fan of this goofy looking dickhead. He’s going to be this generation’s Reggie Miller imo

I haven't watched one game of trae.
highlights vs Knicks.
looks great.
I read here that trae cant defend.

murray is 3rd.

morant does not yet have traditional jumper. hes getting by on speed and agility to get to basket. floaters and now a push shot from 3.

morant is the better pg.
trae can shoot.

it's close.

luka is #1.

if morant gets traditional shooting form this summer he passes trae.

fwiw jaren Jackson jr is better than he looked in playoffs. not fully back from knee surgery.

1 luka
2 trae
3 morant
4 jaren jr
5. murray

Trae is a better scorer than both, and better playmaker than both.

He is almost in a different tier.
Or at the very least stop the tier that includes

Don Mitchell
Shai
Booker
Murray
Morant

All these guys are behind trae. Of the group Trae might be the one to actually make the step up to top 10 player in the league. The others won’t ever reach it.

Luka is in a different class from all of them.

Trae has a pretty deadly floater and he's an elite passer.

think everyone will agree that you take Ja first. But after that give Trae Young.

The man is averaging 29 and 9 by his second year. He's got a bright future ahead of him, and the Hawks will figure it out soon enough

As of now, I think I'll stand by this take. Ja lead his team to the playoffs in his 2nd season, knocking off Steph Curry in the play-in. He was knocked out in the 1st round, but Utah is a very good team, easily better than the Knicks. I'm interested in seeing how Trey respond against a much better squad in the 76ers.

Jamal Murray on the other hand, I don't know how he was even in the conversation. He's a 2nd fiddle guy.

While I'd pick Trae first, Murray was just as important for his team in the first round series win over the Jazz last year. Dude went nuts in the bubble.

My bad Devin booker not Trevor booker. I think he’s the best young point guard.

This is false. He has always played a winning brand of basketball, but you can't win in the NBA w/just kids. You need some grown men around you. He has that now, and we've seen the results

Trae would even admit he has developed as a player. His shot selection is so much better this year.

I don’t know why you are acting like it is a bad thing to admit that Trae got better. So has Luka. So do most players in their career.

He average 30 and 10 in year 2. yea yea his team sucks. How many players have average 30 and 10 on a bad team? The answer is trae and it’s not that close for me.

From your post history I figured you would say Harden.......
