I just watched it twice in a row! I think it should have been a tie which would let Jones remain champ. I just don't see how you can take the belt from him after fighting like that. They really did seem to be equals and I have all of the respect in the world for both of them. That was EASILY a top 10 all-time fight for me.

If the challenger doesn't finish the champ gets the benefit of the doubt. Personally I thought it was a draw.

A draw would have been as correct of a result as anything. Rematch should be required.

That was easily one of the best fights I've ever seen.

I'm sure it's been said in this thread, but jones may have a shattered foot that occurred in early stages of fight.

Dana sounds like he wants a rematch and if that happens, it could happen in Sweden. How fricking epic would that be?!??

yes jon jones did injure his foot early in the fight. only question is which one because he was throwing a hell of a lot of kicks.

but I'm more concerned with ol boy saying jones didn't win the 5th? What the hell was he watching?

ROUND 5
Jones 0 24 of 45 53% 25 of 46 1 of 2 50% 0 0 0
Gustafsson 0 24 of 65 37% 28 of 71 0 of 4 0% 0 0 0

yeah, Bones completely dominated that round

Bones may have won the last minute of round 5 but Gustafsson winning the first 4 minutes of the round is why i gave it to him
