Jones apologized, wants to do better, happy beating a black belt muay thai fighter in a kickboxing match.

Santos injured leg in first round, was not preexisting, no excuses

That looked like a draw to me. JBJ should have lost the benefit of the doubt

Jones is the smartest fighter in the UFC. Rematch won’t go the distance.

The thing is though that Jones knocked down Santos a couple of times

Santos was falling down on his own due to his knee, I wouldn’t give Jones much credit for that

What probably hurt Santos was he was on the back foot most the fight

Jones was walking him down a lot

Both fighters leaving with fricked up legs

That was a very weak main event. I have no problem w the decision, but Jones should of done more.

Jones looked passive as frick tonight
Yeah he respected his power. Early on I thought that was the right play, being patient. But outside of I think the third round, he didn't really go out of his way to make it happen too much

Back to Masvidal/Askren: Poirier tweeted that Masvidal told him that he would start the fight with the flying knee and showed him a video of him practicing it.

Just great scouting. Askren instinctively goes for the takedown when he gets rushed.

Rockhold and Askren getting KO'd were the highlights of the night for sure

That was a great game plan, Matt brown was the number 1 reason I had Masvidal winning on my picks. ATT is the best in the business

Well the champ retains even with a draw so..

I don’t think JBJ lost, but he really only looked good in the 3rd round. Otherwise he was lackluster. And given JBJ’s douchebaggery as it relates to prior transgressions, I don’t think the judges would have been out of line handing Santos a draw there.

JBJ lost the champion’s benefit of the doubt IMO as I said earlier. The decision was fine though. It was a close fight with a compromised challenger.

Mma fighting had it 48-47 santos. Seems like everyone agrees rds 1/5 to santos and 3/4 to JJ. The questionable rd is 2 where santos got hurt. Made even more in question bc he wasn’t hurt by JJ

It was hilarious the way he did it. Like he was about to try and steal something... but I guess he did steal askren soul
