Max is on a different level in comparison right now and probably held back some if we're being honest. Still an enjoyable fight.

Yep

Saved by the bell in the 2nd, though

Good career for the diamond

I don’t blame him for clinching, 5 seconds away from retirement, don’t think I’d want to go to sleep in that scenario

Dana needs to offer Dustin that Forrest Griffin / Chuck Liddel contract.

He needs to be on the desk and maybe get in the booth he has done a great job the few times I have seen him breaking stuff down

Dustin will be ufc commentator for a few years at least. As long as he doesn't go full Ice Man and just no show the job for years, then he'll be set.

That last ten seconds for Max is like a pool shark letting you clear the table. Those super fast fists of fury. I wonder if Poirier prepared for it? Max lets all those sidewinders fly like the Tasmanian devil, maybe a straight one right down the barrel back at Max would have been just the thing.

What’s crazy is this is the first time he has lost two fights in a row fighting the guys he has. Dude has persevered

Is Dana White there tonight?

Find it odd he’s not in the ring for the retirement

Solid fight. Max was good to avoid Dustin's power after the second. If he catches him one more time the outcome is probably reversed. Good sportsmanship by both.

He was in the ring. Then they cleared the stage for Poirier's team and family.

Dana was there at ringside for the fight. Probably just wanted to give Dustin his moment.

I've low key got a crush on Joanna. Her personality looks fun as frick. I'll bet she's a devil in the sack.

Probably not honestly

And if he did, I can’t think of a worse way to retire then to get into a haymaker contest with 5 seconds to go

I think Dustin was caught in the moment and didn’t fully understand what the plan was. Looked caught off guard after he dapped him up, even though everyone else knew it was coming
