New Orleans is an event town
While I agree, I don’t believe it could sell out the Smooth King Center again, unless it’s an absolute stacked card…which it will never get. It could maybe handle a fight night with cheaper prices.
DP is the sole reason it sold out.

Totally disagree. NOLA is a town UFC fans will travel too to watch an event.

Now that Caeasars has renovated the casino they are more likely to help bring big events here. Dana White specifically mentioned them in his post fight press conference
Was Caesar’s the fighters hotel/hq for the week?
The ones that didn’t stay at an Airbnb or get their own place obviously

This is excellent news, but let’s get some of our big money people to show Dana around outside bourbon street ?
Dana said he affluent about 15 secs in Bourbon St. before he had to get away. Probably got mobbed or thought it was too much of a shite show.

I have to work for both 319 and Noche
319 is the last big one before football season too, Khamzat vs DDP is such a banger plus Killa Gorilla vs Venom
Ill be off for 320 in october though, do we have any idea who's supposed to headline? Is that supposed to be the Islam-DDP date? Its in Vegas
Did a little digging, looks like Merab-Sandhagen could be on there, or Aspinall-Gane. Saw Strickland-Izzy 2 as well

Some big fights still left this year.

Yeah I am thinking about doing 319 just worried about it being kinda too heavy with tbd for the comain. I never been to Chicago that’s why I am leaning that way

It absolutely is but the next card needs to be big. UFC fans fly in from all over. Those aren’t all Vegas locals every PPV there. New Orleans could be a similar destination setting. I would love to see a big card here every 1-2 years.
But it needs to be big and top headliners to attract folks in. Future UFC fight night or glorified fight night won’t work. Build it and they will come.
I was very very happy how packed the arena was last night for a less than optimal card (on paper). Hopefully UFC and Dana took note and would want to return.

I think a solid Fight Night event could do well in New Orleans since it offers more affordable pricing. Especially during the summer months when New Orleans doesn't have much going on.

It would but apparently this one did really well even with the high prices. No reason they couldn’t come back here for a PPV with a title fight. I would pay the $ for an exciting card.
It ended up being a great card this time, but I wasn’t paying $500 to watch Dustin for 25 minutes

I think Dana would first see how New Orleans supports a Fight Night before coming back with another PPV.
It's hard to judge the UFC 318 crowd since a lot of it was built on supporting the local Poirier.
One thing New Orleans has over some other cities is that we have a casino downtown and Dana White loves to gamble.

This is a great example of what I’m saying. Thank you for providing some factual evidence of it.

They were the official sponsors of the UFC this past weekend. Most of the fighters and all of the Power Slap brass stayed at the Royal Sonesta
