Joachim would skull drag me if told you:)

just joking.

I don't really know, you may be able to google something. It was just a coupe of years ago during Zuffas aquisition of Pride that Joachim, and others, stated they would never fight for the UFC.

I seem to remember Joachim calling Dana a pimp or something to that effect. Many Pride fighters had this attitude. Arona, even Cro Cop at first. Which probably explains Cro Cops repeated attempts to frick the UFC.

Win or lose, Dana has a solid track record of rewarding and retaining people who bring it, people like this. Either the UFC rewards him or someone else will. I'm not worried about mr Bradley, his future is bright

Eddie Alvarez has the best chance of signing out of the top non-Zuffa LW's imo.

He would also give BJ Penn a good fight.

He took a 2+ year lay off after the Sokoudjou loss and now fights for an organization in Brazil.

How the mighty have fallen. I'll always remember him for getting slammed by Rampage. Top 5 MMA finish, IMO.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the behind the scenes insight you gave in this thread. It's been really interesting to see what goes on with the fighters leading up their bout. Sorry about the loss, but I'm sure we'll continue to see you progress.

If they cut me, which is always a legit possibility for ANY UFC fighter, I'm still gonna be me. I'm still going to have a desire seperate jaw bones from upper skulls.

So I will be fighting where ever I'm
getting treated fairly and payed properly. That includes UFC, WEC, Strikeforce, or some local fights at the River Center where all you guys could come.

I have a hard time believing that Dana will cut you after this fight. You won your previous fight vs Nover and one of your losses in the UFC was a short notice fight in a higher weight class against a fighter with 40+ fights. You always come to fight, win or lose, and give the fans their money worth. How many UFC losses does Phil Baroni have? They are still bringing him back to fight because he is exciting to watch. Fights like Anderson Silva vs Thales Leites, Kimbo vs Alexander, Severn vs Shamrock 2 is what the UFC is trying to avoid. Great action fights sell PPVs and you always bring it.

I've been a fan since UFC 2. I saw the Vitor Belfort vs Randy Couture 1 fight live. I believe it was UFC 15 in Bay Saint Louis. Followed it all the way through the dark years. I stopped watching boxing all together. It just doesn't compare to MMA.

We are looking forward to your next fight.

i dont know if this is a legit source but

quote:

It's official: Frankie Edgar is the No. 1 UFC lightweight contender.

Dana White confirmed with MMA Fighting Tuesday that Edgar will receive the next 155-pound title shot against champion BJ Penn. There had been talk of Gray Maynard facing Penn next, but in a video interview shot Tuesday in New York City, White said he didn't think Maynard was 100% ready to fight for the title just yet.

The UFC president added that the tentative plan was for the title fight to happen in Abu Dhabi in April, but that the UFC 112 event in the Middle East is still not officially confirmed.

The organization announced on Tuesday that Flash Entertainment, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi government, had purchased a 10% stake of Zuffa, the parent company of UFC and WEC.

Edgar is 11-1, and recently defeated Matt Veach last month. His only loss came against Maynard in April 2008. He holds wins over the likes of Sean Sherk, Tyson Griffin, Hermes Franca and Jim Miller.

Maynard defeated Nate Diaz on Monday via split decision. "The Bully" is 9-0 with 1 no contest.

White also said that he hoped Anderson Silva would fight Vitor Belfort for the middleweight title on the same card. Renzo Gracie vs. Matt Hughes is also expected to take place on the April card.

White talked about the how the sale came about, the future of the company, the latest on Brock Lesnar's heatlh status, and much more in the video, which will be posted on MMA Fighting Tuesday evening.
