All HCs have always been able to sign new contracts at new schools. Why are you acting like Kiffin is any different?

What’s new is the complete annual roster upheaval caused by every player being an unrestricted free agent every year with essentially zero ties to the university. Coaches having to re-recruit their own team every year during the fricking season.

I’d be curious to see a “vested” system where money becomes available after 3yrs at the same school.

You guys crying about having to learn new player names, etc are just funny. Who the heck cares about their names. We root for our TEAM and the players are lucky to be on those teams. I could care less about any player individually or as a person. They are just 1 of 11 on the field wearing my teams uniform and helmet. They don’t know me and I don’t know them.

That’s actually a really good point. Then WHY TF are they making MILLLIONS off their “NAME IMAGE AND LIKENESS?”

It’s pay-for-play with no rules. It’s fricking anarchy with hired mercenaries. Fans root for their schools and the players are the beneficiaries of that school fandom.

I'm sorry, y'all paying players under the table with impunity got us here.

NIL isn’t 1:1 with eliminating all penalties for transfers

Athlete-Students get 6 years to play. No exceptions. Junior College counts toward the 6 years. Make them sign 2 to 3 year deals (2 year minimum). If head coach leaves, the athlete-student can opt out of the contract. Can only transfer twice unless the head coach leaves.

Players making money doesn't both me, the unlimited transfer shite is ridiculous.

I get it but think about it. Players got processed on a yearly basis in a lot of programs for better players.

Players simply have the ability to process their program. Whether it’s for money or playing time. It just became more fair for them all around. They used to have to get permission to transfer within the conference. Sit out a year. There were repercussions for transferring when a coach could simply pull their scholly and move on.

It’s a major change and maybe that’s the issue. Some people don’t like change.

Love seeing the sec fans who’ve been saying for years that they didn’t pay players are now saying everyone was doing it lol

The funny part of this is Lane can have LSU back next year with it.

This is a dumb take. NIL is here to stay but there will be better rules in place within 3 years.

Players weren’t an issue. It was coaching.
