When it comes to federal funding for a university, a Title IX coordinator just as soon be God.
In the grand scheme of things, the US DoE doesn't care about an individual incident like this. However, when you've got 3 pending investigations and you're trying to avoid the appearance of a systemic problem, it might matter more than it should.
