Without even playing in a conference chamionship game. The hardest part about winning the SEC is playing a powerful SEC school and beating them not once but in many cases TWICE.

Soon the SEC will be 5-0 in the national title game with 2 teams having won it twice.

Mighty presumptuous of you.

How can you not nake it to a BCS game when you play absolutely no one? They should play in the BCS title game every year. Oh yeah they can't because they get beat by 41 point underdogs at home.

So why doesn't an ACC team or a Big East team do the same thing as USC?????????

Its also possible to have a mediocre season, win a division at 8-4 and play one really good game to win the SEC. Having a championship has its pros and cons. Hell, Arky in 2002 came in 2nd in the SECW and could have been SEC Champs

They actually have an OOC schedule.

We are talking about title games here. Not playing Utah, or hawaii.

This is not true. USC has to play EVERY team in the Pac-10, while SEC does do not.

Look at it this way, if the SEC had to play the Pac-10's format, Bama would have had to play Florida in the regular season, which would have knocked them out of the title talk a lot sooner. We played Tennessee last year in the championship game, which was MAYBE the 3rd best team in the East last year for God's sake.

You are just ridiculously biased, and your hate of USC is so obvious that it's painful. They're 12-1, we're 8-5. They beat the shite out of OU by 36 points. That's not a fluke, and if you think Auburn was 36 points better than OU that year, you're as stupid as your posts originally suggest.

Look, I knock on USC and the Pac10 as much as the next guy, but you are just flaming. USC plays 12 BCS teams a year usually. They schedule a team like Ohio State, Notre Dame (which has its ups and downs but is the 2nd winningest team of all time) and another team who could potentially be good (like UVA).

USC lives or dies by this attempted tough OOC. Some years the Pac10 is decent and their OOC lives up to its billing (see 2004 and 2005) and other years the Pac10 is very weak and the OOC isn't quite enough (see 2007 and 2008)

We're 1-2 moron. And we have never played a mid major in a BCS game.

Tennessee shellacked Georgia last year. They won the SEC East.

82-9 since 2002. Two NC's (AP 03 AP and Coaches 04). 6-1 in BCS bowls. No loss by more than 7. Nuff said! The obsession here is great though.
