Just how bad is Miami that they can’t throw on this make shift secondary?

In the NFL they throw the ball on that 3rd down 9/10 times. I know Max Johnson isn’t exactly Pat Mahomes, but you literally guarantee yourself a win with 11 yards there. Is the difference between one timeout and zero for the offense in an 8 point game with college clock rules really worth just conceding possession there?
