Not saying they had it worse, but some Irish had worse living quarters than slaves. That's a proven fact.
Why do the current whites of the country have to pay the price for the blacks selling their own to evil slave owners in the U.S.? None of my ancestors were even here during that time.

Riley got to go on stage but they wouldnt let him backstage I think.
If it were Vick, they would have let him back there.
Personally I don't think it's a big deal. At first I thought maybe he was calling some white boys in the crowd ****.

A white person can't say the N word without being fired and villainized. A black person can say anything they fricking want (see Dusty Baker) and not be fired or even forced to do some apology. Double standard.
OK, you are a racial arsonist in the mold of Limbaugh and Hannity. Stop being insensitive to the history of racism in this country. You are not doing yourself any favors by pretending that white folks are being oppressed when a white guy uses the N word in a fit of rage.
The fact that you could use any quote in the history of the civilized world as a signature, one that you identify with or that represents the uniqueness of your thought process, and you choose one by Jordan Jefferson in an effort to ridicule the young man, says a lot about you. Not to mention, he was the last black QB at LSU at a time when some fans were divided along racial lines as to who should be playing between he and Jarrett Lee. This certainly shows you in the light you rightfully deserve.

Sure you don't.

ok. Can you really assign context to a drunken word?
Yes, you can by watching the damn video. The incident is on tape for all to see.

What about all the conversations and days he spent with his teammates and black friends? Does that count for nothing of his character?
What does that have to do with him being punished by his employer and criticized by his peers? His not being fined because of his overall character.

Well its a kenny Chesney concert. The chances of there being a black guy the is less than 10 percent
And a chance of there being multiple black guys is damn near zero

You're still on the "black people can't speak properly so they're really just trying to say n**ger" train, huh?

Do you know all the bad shite that happened post slavery....Hell lets just take it to the 50's-60's, the "good ol days". I mean slavery was over right, but still blacks experienced the most hatred in the south and those people are still alive.

Cracka and Cracker have 2 very different meanings.

No im stating that white people say it one way and black people say it the one way, and whichever way white people say it is going to be considered the racist version. Lets not act like the pronunciation matters, its who is saying it that bother black people.
quote:
black people can't speak properly
Dont blame this on me. its their fault. If we cant even point out that the type black people that use the term n**ga reguarly cant speak properly (i.e. Jeantel) then we are fricking doomed.

Look, I'm not being insensitive to it, but I don't think I should be forced to feel "white guilt" over something that happened over a hundred years ago and my ancestors had nothing to do with it.

Jesus Christ. This is a LSU sports website, so I chose a quote in regards to LSU sports. At the time, QB was a frustrating situation in LSU sports and I chose a quote along those lines. Teh young man didn't know the difference between George and Thomas Jefferson and made stupid comments about how great he thought he played. So yeah, it was sig worthy IMO. Lee sucked just as bad, but at least he didn't pretend like he didn't suck. Has nothing to do with race you fricktard.
And my favorite LSU QB of all time is Rohan Davey and I supported him over Josh Booty. But yeah, keep on pretending I'm racist.
See, you're a race-baiter. It's okay for a white person not to like or admire something a black person did. It doesn't make them racist. It makes you a racist thinking I should kiss every black person's arse.

Perhaps it went over your head? It wasn't about Jefferson and Lee.

Well, frick.
Seriously though, race relations won't improve until blacks get over it. It's over. Everybody has ancestors or even current relatives they'd like to not claim. That's the world. However, still harboring this much distrust isn't healthy.
As a matter of fact, I think it's the loser mentality that holds many blacks back from getting out of poverty and becoming successful. They don't realize the race baiting that Al, Jesse, and the media does only holds them back.

How exactly are you paying the price? Because you can't call someone a n**** without facing the repercussions?

This may be the dumbest thing I've ever read on TD.

The fact that you think that quote, attributed to that player, on that day has anything to do about race leads me to believe you are retarded.

And so Blacks should just hold all whites responsible for that and not get the frick over it? Sorry for partying. What else can i say. I didn't have anything to do with it.

I'm not implying it. You're doing a good job proving it in this thread.
Anyone that reduces slavery to blanks selling their own has major problems.
