The scouts who signed him will show up in the middle of the night and roust him out of bed to take him Low A or their complex league. Like he’s going to one of those teenage rehab boot camps

Griffey was only 17 when the Mariners drafted him. Seems like that worked out pretty well

So he graduated high school last month and his birthday is in late July or August?

News said he was still in or just graduated hs.

So, the story on SEC Rant talking about the 6’ boy in elementary school should be talking to the NBA?

Google Search On MLB Draft
Is there an age limit on the MLB draft?
Players who have graduated high school but not attended college are eligible for the draft, as are those who have completed at least one year of junior college. Players attending four-year colleges are eligible to be drafted upon completing their junior year or turning 21 years old.

See, this makes no sense: hs graduate or 1 year juco is fine; but a 4yr. college has to be a jr. or 21?
