Yeah after his pouting after the super bowl he ought to be ashamed of himself. One year wonder that beat up on bad defenses in the Nfc south

Archie
To try and bring this back on point and into something mildly interesting, Archie, Bartkowski, Earl Campbell, Dominique Wilkins are good examples of great players on less than stellar teams.
Were their careers wasted? In some ways maybe. In other ways? Archie and Nique have had good paths.

The best part about this thread is that the OP is getting destroyed for being dumb but he's also right and no one has even attempted to refute that aspect of the post

One year wonder

Since this board has mostly resorted to saying dumb shite more and more I figured I'd join the fun.
Not that anybody took me serious to begin with.

Ehhh his new deal doesn't kick in until next year. They were a playoff team last season and have had to deal with a never-ending spree of injuries. Way too early to say he should try to get out while he can.

I was very excited about watching Davis in the NBA. There's been no one as dominant as him in College since he left Kentucky. I expected him to be Lebron level popular.
He's only 23 so there's still time. Maybe the Pelicans will shock me

I won't deny that the Pels suck but you are underestimating Davis's national popularity.

I mean he was 9th among West forwards in All-Star voting, 16th highest vote getter overall.

his season started off relatively underwhelming considering the expectations

For sure. Honestly those numbers surprised me when I looked at them.

That's fair. Like I said, I expected him to be Lebron level popular and much more mainstream
His appearance in advertisements appear to be increasing. I also think the rise of Steph Curry and Golden State have played a role.

He doesn't have that kind of personality and never will.
He does fine in endorsements, he has a bunch.

I felt like he resigned with the Pels almost out of loyalty and comfort? He didn't want to go through the ordeal of changing teams?
He doesn't seem like the type who'll ever go on a dozen free agent visits or make veiled comments about wanting a release. Which is rare and hopefully things work out for him

Like 99.9% of high level rookies end up resigning with the original team that drafted them

And like 30+ million dollars. That was probably a factor
