Haven't watched or cared about MLB since 94, too long and boring.

If it ceased to exist I wouldn't notice. Maybe I'd enjoy Mike & Mike more

i always enjoy this arguement, especially since the Yankees have only won the title once in the last 10 seasons

I also love the "Strike" argument for hating baseball, when the NFL also has had labor unrest and is cruising for another one. It's like steroids - people only care about PED's in regards to baseball.

Season too long. Too many games. Too many times they repeat series with teams.

I think they should shorten it down like college with 3 game weekend series vs each team. Play every team in your division twice (home & home) Play every other team out there on a rotational basis.

Plus I think the almighty dollar is killing all pro sports! But that's a topic for a whole other thread.

I'd seriously pay money for this thread to just go away.

and some fans of the NFL want to talk about parity when 3 franchises (SF, PIT, and DAL) have won 1/3 of the Super Bowl titles

Since 1927 the Yankees have won 27 WS. That's 31.8% of the last 85 World Series, by 1 franchise.

you know there was like 20+ world series before this time right?

you can always spin stats to fit your argument

Yankees have won 27 WS since 1926. That's a half percent lower than your 31.8%

The NFL hasn't had a work stoppage since 1987, that last 4 weeks, they also never canceled the Super Bowl. Part of me will never forgive MLB for 1994.

yes, i picked 27 cause that was the Yankees first, add 20 years, that still 25% of WS won by 1 team. The Steelers by contrast have won 6 of 44 SB, or 13.6%

the first SB was after the 1966 season, the most won by 1 team is 6 by the Steelers, over that same time the Yankees have won 7 WS.

18 different teams have won the SB, over the same time 20 different teams have won the WS. Not really a big difference

exactly. it's not true that baseball is dominated by one team

they do dominate in salary which makes it seem more unequal since they are always good, even if they don't win the WS every single year.

FTR it doesn't bother me, i hate teams like the 97 Marlins.
