wrong
It is violent, but the reason you learn to to lower your head when tackling is to protect yourself. He's lucky he didnt fracture his neck as a 225lbs man is running full speed and you but the top of your head to take initial impact

So, you should lower your head on that situation? Have you ever learn how to tackle? Im not saying stay high and get ran over...but leading with your head is stupid.

Sounds like you attended one of those 1,000 dollar football camps and learned to tackle as a kid and never had any real experience with angles and collisions.
Ryan Clark was about to come in contact with a 225 lb stud of a running back, he got his body across and braced for the impact just like McGahee, the only difference is McGahee slowed down. Do you really expect clark to stop, drop his arse and wrap up in a situation like that? He did what his instincts told him to do, aimed for a point and braced. McGahee can be blamed just as much for the incidental helmet to helmet contact as Clark can.

that was just a bad collusion it happens all of time in football. The game moves to fast you can not bitch at the defender for trying to do his job.

Not a cheap shot.
Any other player in the same situation would've done the same exact thing.
While it's unfortunate, hits like this are never going to stop.
I hope Willis turns out alright.

Do me a favor. Go in your backyard and run as hard as you can into a wall. Then come back and tell me what part of your body it the wall first. It you are honest, you'll say it was your head.
Ever seen sprinters run? Humans running at full speed lean their body forward for balance and the head is slightly ahead of the body. They were both running at full speed and it was unavoidable. And it is a normal reaction to duck the head when you know it's going to be a violent collision. Anyone stating otherwise has never played the game.

I wouldnt have a problem with it if he would have tried to wrap up
how many secondary players wrap up when trying to lay the wood? His job is to seperate the player from the ball. not a make a tackle at THAT point.

It's only illegal on a defenseless player.
Not so....

using any part of a player’s helmet (including the top/crown and forehead/“hairline” parts) or facemask to butt, spear, or ram an opponent violently or unnecessarily; although such violent or unnecessary use of the helmet and facemask is impermissible against any opponent, game officials will give special attention in administering this rule to protecting those players who are in virtually defenseless postures
Special emphasis for defenseless opponents, but by no means the only instance where it's illegal

At least they didn't play "Head Games" by Foreigner.
That's going to be a great "Schwab"-esque trivia question one day. What three songs were played at Heinz Field during the 09 AFC title game while they were scooping Willis McGahee off the field?

go join a football team or rugby and go tackle everyone with the crown of your head...SINCE thats the only way to hit someone and tell us how it goes

the end result was a helmet and shoulder hit, but Clark was turning his shoulder to lead.....McGahee put his head down and contact was initiated before Clark's shoulder could get all the way turned. There was definitely helmet to helmet contact, but it wasn't dirty as you can see clark is clearly turning his shoulder and body into the hit. he wasn't just a human helmet crown missle like Chuck Cecil.

See, I disagree...I say he kept his head out front and 95% of the blow came from the crown of his helmet

I dont think it was dirty....I just say it was stupid.
