yeah I just really hate that guy he cost me money in Oklahoma twice by being a dick and probably the mere site of him tilted me out of a tournament in New Orleans that I was doing real well in when they sat him next to me..

They are 19 people left in a pot limit hold em tournament i had been playing the short stack real well forever and everyone and i do mean everyone in the tournament except him wants to pay 19th.. and well i go out 19th shoving on the button with A8 running into JJ.. well the very next tournament I am in a PLO tournament up there and we get to the final table of 10 it only pays out 9.. I am one of the four shorter stacks and we all want to pay 1000 to 10th.. I look at him with hate in my eyes.. He says 800.. and I picked up AA with 2 rags and get it all in vs KQ108 or something like that and the guy rivers a flush so basically he cost me about 600 bucks in 2 days.. and he said some racist stuff to the foreign dealer and he tries to bring out the rule book on everything.. I just cant stand the guy

so the places were paid based on what he wanted? why didn't majority rule or have a set limit on what places paid?

you have to have everyone in favor to change the prize distribution in a tournament.

Jason Alexander Suffers Shrinkage
When action got raised to 6,800 by a player in middle position, Jason Alexander came along from the small blind. Alexander then check-called a bet of 10,600 after a flop of 4h-10h-3d. Both players checked the 7s on the turn and, when Alexander checked again at the 8s on the river, his opponent bet 21,200. Alexander quickly mucked and his stack shrunk - just a little - to 230,000.

Peter Eastgate was on death watch mid day 2, now he's up to 400k. Dennis Phillips is doing well too.
