I few home from Alaska in 2005 for the lsu Alabama game in Tuscaloosa. My mom picked me up from the airport and we parked not knowing we’d have to walk down fraternity row after the game. Everyone at the game was awesome. During our walk to the car we were told we should’ve died in Katrina…. Neither lived close to New Orleans and I lived on the other side of the country. Learned some fans are just fans. Enjoy the game and leave it there. Some people go way overboard.

It doesn’t matter how many tickets fans buy, how much merchandise fans buy or how long and ardently they cheer for a team. At no point do fans, college or professional, have a tangible, concrete ownership stake in this stuff.
