Delhomme led them to the second best record in the NFC and with Deangelo and J Stewart running the ball and Steve Smith the offense should be fine. Peppers has finnaly decided to play so I dont see why so many have Carolina going from 1st to 3rd

Mainly because none of their defensive holes were addressed & the fact that all of Jake's shite games came in the later part of the year.
The defense was terrible for most of the 2nd half and the Panthers dominant run game bailed the team out. The problems were mainly up front at DT in the secondary and the team only lost starters there. Kemoeautu during camp and Lucas to free agency. Meeks was a nice hire but he may not have the personnel to run the defense he wants. That's not even mentioning all the close games they won; SD, NOLA, Green Bay, Chicago, etc.

I haven't?? Please Explain, the only losses were Kemoatu (sp) and Ken Lucas, who struggled last season. I admit DT is an important position and the weakness of this team, but the secondary and linebacking corps is young and improving. The rookie Everette Brown will improve pass rushing so I see the defense being allright this season.
