Episode 4 is out.

I haven’t been as impressed with it as I was the first season. Maybe it’s the long lay-off between the first and second season, or maybe it’s just the first two episodes ending in the same cheap cliffhanger and now a seemingly canned “major plot twist” to end episode 4.

It doesn’t really set up as “oh wow, I can’t wait to see what happens next”, instead it’s like “why do they keep dragging this out”.

I really want to like this show. I see good actors there and a basic, interesting story. But so far season 4 has been a bit of a letdown.

The dog being like, actually we now report to this boss bitch queen, was the worst part so far.

I think it's been excellent so far. I just caught up to last night's episode. That definitely took a turn, while not expecting, was foreseeable. It'll be interesting to see where the larger motive is at play here.

Things has gotten escalated to nation-state level it seems like to me. There's a lot of things a lot of people and countries would do for a mine that valuable.

I guess I’ll say that whatever intrigue over the larger motives at play is being overshadowed by yet another cheap “twist” over whether Parwana/Emily is dead, and the “drama” between Harper and his wife.

Of course, maybe it’s better to view this show as a binge rather than weekly. Hopefully the show picks back up. It looks like Julian Carson is about to re-emerge.

Watched through Episode 6 last night. This season doesn't hold a candle to the first first and I almost dropped it entirely after Episode 4. They roped me back in with 5 and 6 though.

Episode 7 keeps pace with 6…and is maybe better…but it’s only an eight season episode. They are going to have to resolve an awful lot in the finale, which I don’t fully anticipate them doing. There’s obviously going to be a “big reveal” that (wink wink) “no one sees coming”…but provides another “cliffhanger”.

To my knowledge the show hasn’t been renewed yet for season 3.

The season (?) finale was pretty much what I said.

(Spoilers)

The big reveal is that Emily/Angela/Parwana is not only alive, but is now in charge of the deposit. But now, Harold is being held captive by his ex-wife in order to gain control of the deposit…so we need Dan’s help to rescue him and get him back. …if of course the series gets renewed, maybe 18 months from now we’ll get some closure.
