I dont know enough about JCM to hate on him anyway. It just drove me crazy he went from John Cougar, to John Cougar Mellancamp, to John Mellancamp. Like come on dude, pick a name. I like the Boss ight. Own one or two albums, thats about it, not even enough to defend him if someone cracks on him. I did however rock this joint in El Salvador singing "Dancing In The Dark" in karaoke. It's nice when, just because your American, your by far the best singer in the room.
And yes, Jack and Diane is pretty killer.

I like the How To Dress Well album a lot. It sounds like R&B music made by ghosts.

How To Dress Well - Ready For The World

also, Das Racist's mixtape, Sit Down, Man is a lot of fun.

downloaded Jimmy Eat World and the Manic Street Preachers new albums out of nostalgia. MSP has guest spots from Echo & The Bunny Men and one from Duff McKagan, which is interesting.

I don't know if I've mentioned this somewhere in the 20 pages of awesomeness, but yeah, Mumford & Sons album is REDICULOUS! Going to see them at the House of Blues in Dallas Nov. 4th.

It's a House of Blues, so yeah. The Observer hates it because it's too nice and the call it the McVenue, but they hate anything that's not 100% local. It's a very nice venue.

But I LOVE the Palladium. Hell, I got married at Gilley's (same complex).

No idea. If you check the Observer, there are a TON of good shows coming (it always happens around ACL). The Thermals, Frightened Rabbit, Blitzen Trapper... I'm gonna be a busy bear.

Andrew belle is doing a live set on a local station right now, and he sounds amazing. He's done 2 songs so far. The one they play on the radio here is called "static waves"
