Looked through the whole thread for a Deerhunter mention and the first is on this page. Great album. Started slow but I was hooked in halfway through on first listen.

Deerhunter is pretty good. But honestly, my favorite album released by a band with "Deer" in their name was Deer Tick's Dirt Sessions. But I love that guy's voice.

a little different sound here, but i think Anders Osborne's cd American Patchwork was some of the best music to come out of New Orleans in 2010. Some great rock, blues and funk on this album. He is a one of the best guitarist around.

I've really enjoyed this thread. We should do another one of these threads for 2011.
It looks like it could be another good year. Cake, The Decemberists, Social Distortion, Amos Lee and Drive By Truckers all have albums being released in January and February.
