watching as they have it free on the roku app. In season 4 now. Just saw the Christmas Eve episode where they get stranded on an island. That one and Higgins’ surprise party were great episodes. Favorite line so far:
Great Christmas episode. Another great one is Love for Sale Boat where Mac "sells" a boat to Rick.

This was when I was really into Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars and you could buy the ones from the tv shows.
I have a Miami Vice Ferrari Daytona Hot Wheels I bought a few years ago.

Riptide before that.
Riptide, S&S then Magnum was my favorite lineup when I was 10.

Tom Selleck easily on Hollywood's best mustache Mount Rushmore.

I know Selleck made a ton from being the star of a major network show in 80s and has had a 40+ yr acting career, so he's good.
But dude had Indiana Jones in the bag. He was going to be the star of Raiders. They had him fitted for wardrobe and everything. And then he had to back out because Magnum was about to begin shooting.
Talk about one of the biggest sliding doors moments in the history of entertainment. Harrison Ford would have still been a legend, but not nearly as legendary as playing both Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

I think Indiana Jones woulda been just as big a hit with Selleck as well. He and Harrison Ford have very similar styles. Tough guys who still seem suave and charming.

There’s a good Magnum/Simon and Simon crossover in season 3 of Magnum.
I wonder if any of the writers had a Louisiana connection. The pilot featured a naval officer who was a former LSU quarterback and TC is apparently from New Orleans and went to Grambling.
