I think he is a double double agent. He looked at Coulson and nodded at the end. Bet Saffron Burrows isn't dead.

This is correct. Why not infiltrate Hydra from the get-go? Ward already has John's trust so he just solidified it.

I agree. This is an amazing show. I haven't been addicted to a tv show since Kings was on NBC. Kings was cancelled and it caused the biggest uproar. I hope this show doesn't share the same fate.

He did kill a whole bunch people that were good guys in the plane if this is true. Unless he was using the night night gun.

It didn't make much sense for Coulson to allow his top field agent to leave, at a time when everything is in total chaos, just to lock a door on his previous boss.
There has to be more to it. Otherwise that's some crappy writing.

I guess i need to rewatch the last few scenes again from last nights episode. He definitely did not look happy about what he did in the final scene but i just have a hard time believing he is 4x agent if he actually killed the Shield Agents on the plane.

SHIELD must reform by the end of the season, or they would have to change the title of the show

He didn't look all that unhappy. That last close up they showed of him he had that almost evil smirk look going on.
Also, didn't Sky give him the information/secrets that she downloaded from the planes computers? She said something about she didn't think she could standup to torture, so she gave the disk or thumb drive or whatever it was to him. I guess Hydra now has all of that.
