I watched this last night and was entertained.
For a DC movie, I think it was 2nd best behind WW.
I liked that it actually had color and they embraced some of the craziness that is Aquaman. I did feel like the writers went back to basics to try to have a story that even DC couldn't screw up -- hence a retelling of the King Arthur story which they referred to several times just to make sure the audience knew.
Nicole Kidman was fantastic. Mamoa as Aquaman was good, and he provided a lot of the comedy. The lady that played Meera was (cute) (all over the place acting-wise and in terms of line delivery). A lot of the scenes between Aquaman's parents were really good. The writing for his dad was great.
All in all, a solid, entertaining movie. I think it could have been trimmed down a bit but a fun popcorn movie -- which is saying a lot for a DC movie.
Last note, was I the only one thinking that Willem Da Foe's character, the advisor, was secretly going to be King Atlantia?

Horrible movie. Weak story. Never would have guessed she’d meet him at sunrise, lol.
It was a series of disjointed battles. Look they’re walking in Sicily—-BUMPBUMPBUMMMMMMM. Look they came out of a bar—-BUMPBUMPBUMMMMM etc etc rinse repeat.
Why’d she steal a boat? They’re fish people. They can swim faster than a troller.
Where the hell did the Sea Flea People come from at the end of the movie? No real introduction but all the sudden they’re in a battle with Bro Man and his peeps who are riding on Sharks, lol.
I’d rather watch Ready Player One 5 times consecutively than see Aquaman ever again.

Just saw it. It was way too long and kind of boring at times. I think I enjoyed JL more.

Get some when you can, cause you never know.

They were going to the Trench. Since you saw what happened once they jumped in the water around the Trench, you can see why they approached them by boat instead of swimming.

You mean when the monster guys jumped IN THE BOAT too. Again why steal a boat? Makes no sense like much of the movies dialogue

I thought the “younging up” of the guy playing his dad was bad. I immediately thought “This guy is going to be a lot older later.”
Seems like making a young guy look older would have been easier

Kids should love it.
The nephews and niece loved it. It bored me silly. Terrible acting and bad script. Shallow predictable plot that is mostly lifted from other mythology. Cringe worthy rare attempts at humor ("I'm going to need a larger helmet"). Endless pointless battles. A five pointed Trident. Music that goes Dum-Dum-Dum-Dum!!! to let you know this is supposed to be a dramatic moment.
I really enjoyed taking them to Thor-Ragnarok last year. That was fun. This was a turd.

Really enjoyed it. Much better than I expected.
Visually stunning. Overall I really enjoyed it.
Acting was bad at times. A few cringe worthy lines.
I thought Wilson was really good in his role.
I will never understand comments like this for this type of movie. You literally can't make this movie or any of the Marvel movies without massive amounts of CGI.

bit over the top with the cgi but I guess that’s what Wan was going for, but a bit much for me

Movie was clearly made for an international audience.Tons of terrible over-acting and blocky dialogue made for easy translation. Teenage Aquaman might be the worst actor of all time.
I'd put it above WW and below JL. On the same level of Thor 2.

That Stingray Easter egg was in response to Edgar Wright daring Wan to put the Stingray show or theme song in Aquaman.

#Aquaman exploded on #Christmas TUE more than doubling its MON gross pulling in a stunning $22.1M lifting the domestic #boxoffice total to $105.7M and counting. A 50% jump would have been a great result. Still on track to smash $200M before #NewYear and may finish at $300M+
