as I get older movies just do not seem the same to me....i mean, these movies listed are freakin classics and bring back many good memories. maybe it's because we had much greater imaginations as kids than we do now.

or, maybe because Hollywood just blows now!!

Both of your last 2 statements are correct. Although, my kids will look back fondly on Nemo and Harry Potter I'm sure. So there are some decent kids movies around today.

Princess Bride. One of my favs.

E.T. And Karate Kid were great. What about Back To The Future and Bill And Ted? Wasn't Who Framed Roger Rabbit in the late 80's?

The Goonies and everything else is a distant second. Who didn't want to go on a Goonie adventure when they were kids?

Not really a kid movie. But Stand By me was a great adventure movie for young teens.

Short Circuit was a popular one also. Goonies, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Karate Kid, etc that have all been said.

How about that cinematic classic 6 Pack with Kenny Rogers? How it didnt win an oscar, I will never know.

Perfect movie for kids under 10 years old. Plenty of life lessons there.
