Of the ones listed here and that I've seen, I'll say:
The Black Swan (saw it at festival)
Winter's Bone
The Ghost Writer
The Social Network
The Town

I'll also add Fair Game (saw it this week)
Will be seeing 127 Hours this week and assume it will be on my list.

Looking forward to True Grit, The Fighter and a couple of others.

only ones that i saw that i thought were great were inception and book of eli. i liked shutter island for some of the cinematography. thought some scenes were very visually appealing.

want to see true grit and black swan over the holiday season though.

Toy Story 3 and Paranormal Activity 2 are the only movies I've seen worth a shite this year. Haven't seen Inception yet.

I can't believe the love for Scot Pilgrim in this thread. I'd rather mainline Draino than to ever have to watch that again.

I'm sure I would change the order if I went through it, but here's my top 15 based on what I saw:

15. Date Night
14. The Crazies
13. Unstoppable
12. She's Out of My League
11. Tangled
10. Legend of the Guardians
9. The Book of Eli
8. Shutter Island
7. Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows
6. Toy Story 3
5. Kick-arse
4. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nets
3. The Social Network
2. How to Train Your Dragon
1. Inception

The movie i wanted to see most but didn't was probably The Town.

Just got around to watching Book of Eli last night. Awesome flick. I haven't seen too many movies that were released this year. In fact, I can't think of all of them that have actually come out. But I have seen these:

Book of Eli- top notch.
Inception - awesome, probably the best of the year for me.
Toy Story 3- Very good
Shutter Island - Very good
Harry Potter and DH - ok, but more looking forward to Part 2.
Kick arse - very disappointing.
Iron Man 2- Also disappointing.

Same. But I did just download it so I'll be watching it soon.

Out of all the ones I saw I think I enjoyed Kick arse the most.

That's cool and the movie gets a lot of love on this board. That may be what contributed to me being disappointed. I just didn't see the big deal with it.

I want to see True Grit.. probably the only movie I care about this year.

Was this a down year for quality of movies, or was it about average?
