He should have banged that smoke show that was throwing herself at him. Would have been a lot more interesting. It's made all the more cringey because Witherspoon and Scott have zero on-screen chemistry. I found their scenes together to be boring and painful.
Another thing, did she tell him about how Perry died before renewing their vows? All this shite about honesty and then she's gonna walk into the police station and turn herself in? That would be a pretty big curve ball. Too many questions left unanswered and we never saw Black Lady Cop once. I guess they're leaving open the possibility of Season 3 with the way they left things.

Thoroughly unfulfilling finale, in my opinion.
Especially because all they have to do is tell the truth and the worst they get is an obstruction charge?

Yeah they never committed perjury or anything, just lied to the police. It's not like they would charge Bonnie with murder and the rest of them as accessories.

Lolololol at this show.
The second to last episode was bad, and then this final episode was horrific. I was actually laughing IRL when Ziggy (who is supposed to be like 5 right) is basically some mature, all-knowing love doctor to his mom. No kid ever in the history of kids has said the shite he said.
The court room proceedings were cringeworthy. I'm surprised people liked Streep. I found her to be pretty painful towards the end.
The black chick storyline with her mom has never made any fricking sense, and then she just basically peaces out from her husband cause her mom came to town and said he doesn't know her and she doesn't hang with any black people (which I got a kick out of considering she herself married a white dude but o well)?
The renewing vows part was so dumb. It was like every aspect of the season was setup to make this last episode one giant curveball, but the payoff was so weak.
No chance this gets a third season. It's universally agreed that it's been really bad.

My god this show. Terrible. I hated it from start to finish.
But season 1 at least had some good writing and moments. Season 2 was horrendous.
