Yea it a total oedipus complex situation. I might bet that she's not even his mom in the end. it's possible.

I fricking hate Margaret. Who cares about her brother and family? I think the Irish murder scene was pretty fricking intense. I think Jimmy gave a kiss goodbye speech to Nucky and the hitman blew his chance. Now it is going to be ON LIKE DONKEY KONG between Nucky and Jimmy. Eli dies before the season is over, he is just too stupid and reckless to live the mafia type life. I also think Margaret gets preggo and tells Nucky it's his. Nucky has a tough road ahead with the Federal Prosecutor having Van Alden's files and her being so dedicated to this. Not to mention people keep trying to kill Nucky as well.

this show = the tits.

And I will add this important note:

We absolutely need more Rothstein and Capone. I think the previews show that we will a little next episode. I hope it happens more and more.

I think Nucky might make a deal to rat out some enemies later down the line. Or he will find something to get the chick reassigned. Or perhaps Van Alden does that for him?

How fricking great was the scene where they're all in the parlor talking business and the tension between Lucky and Capone? Fanaticism!

*And the reference to Rothstein also being too old. Too bad history won't allow what some viewers want to see happen.

Just got around to watching this and holy shite do I love this show. I know you guys don't like her, but I even like Margaret's role in this. She's gonna whore her way into some shite and it's already starting to happen.

Am I not the only one that noticed Nucky with the Feds? The fed was in the crowd and took out the guy that was supposed to kill him

The fed wasn't with Nucky, he was trailing him as part of the investigation. The irony for Nucky is that if he wasn't being investigated for election fraud he would be dead as the hitman would have been able to take the kill shot he was preparing for before the fed shot him.

BTW, I don't think the feds would let a female lead such an important investigation/prosecution. Hell, women didn't even have the right to vote until 1920.

I'm not positive but I think her character may be based on this woman Mabel Walker Willebrandt.

I want to make sure I got this straight. All Capone had to do was make one call and a dude from Chicago got on a train for what amounted to a suicide mission. I know it's a television show and having the attempted hit happen in a crowded room creates more drama, but it just seemed like a dumb way to do it. The guy has no shot at getting out alive/unarrested.

People do a lot of dumb shite, especially if Capone promised to take care of his family and such
