I understand what they were trying to do with the ending, but it would have been much more effective if they wouldn't have used the teddy bear-red herring scenes. When the planes collided, instead of being shocked at the tragedy of the situation, I was numb to it because I was disappointed that the writers misled us. Because of that, I don't think this was an effective way to end the season.

I agree with that. I am still not sure why they chose to dispel the suspense in the first 30 seconds of the episode. Showing the NTSB truck and the smoke, took away all of the tension and speculation which was going through my head before the episode.

anticlimactic for sure, but the message is loud and clear that Walt's world is gonna start fallin apart, like any fool that gets involved in the drug trade and think they can do it for a lil while and get out, he will find out there is no such thing.

do you think it was smart for Gus to ask about Walt. I mean i know why he did it, but does that make him stick out? Hank will remember that this guy went out of his way for no apparant reason.

no you should click on that link up above and start reading, Gus is the type of person that is always thinkin ahead like the director says, you don't own businesses like that and stay hidden for so long by not being careful, he's just putting stuff together on Walt.

I don't think Gus' gesture would stick out in Hank's mind at all. It would, say, if Hank knew Gus and Walt both sold crystal meth, which he doesn't.

it would really be funny for Hank to tell Walt about Gus donating to the fund.
I can hear him saying, "The guy who owns those polo/chicken places gave some money when he was in my office the other day."
Hank would be wigging out on the thought of Gus being there.
Gus had to have been wigging out on finding out Hank is Walt's brother-in-law.

Gus doesn't wig out. That is why he has been around so long.

He will be wigging out when the DEA ties him to Walt's product.
You know the meth is too good when the DEA can track it the way Hank is currently doing.
I am kind of surprised Gus hasn't had his people cut Walt's stuff since its supposed to be so pure.

You know this is going to happen in the next episode!

"Hey, Walt, check this shite out! That Po Low chicken guy gave you a donation! Hah!"

I didnt think the episode was that bad. I didnt know what NTSB stood for
and I almost looked it up after seeing the truck, but decided to not, and be surprised.

I'll be focused solely on Dexter for now.

I don't understand how a Breaking Bad purist can like the ending of that season finale. They turned a situation which should have been horrible and tragic into something that left the audience saying what the frick? Maybe if we were more invested in Donald or actually knew he was an air traffic controller, the scope of the tragedy would have seemed greater, but it simply fell flat.

yep, that's why I said anticlimactic earlier, it left you feeling empty, but I guess they are just setting you up for what should be like Steve Martin says "a wild and crazy" season 3.

honestly i wasn't even expecting to know who was under the body bags. i just think it was so off that it was that good. I mean it was great symbolism and it pertained a little to the story. The only way i would not like it, is if they would have given everything away, which i did not want them to do. I thought it was an excellent season ending.

I kinda agree. Although if we knew what his occupation was, it would have been alot easier to figure out what the "explosion" was at the house.

It was just an okay episode for me; it felt rushed.
