re: Any of you baws ever broken your collarbone?
Posted by TigerMyth36 on 3/3/26 at 4:25 pm to VolsOut4Harambe
My broken collarbone story won't be helpful but I'll tell it.
I was 2. lol.
Jumped off of a bed and boom. My doctor told my mom I was fine but a weekend of my screaming and they took me to get some x-rays and sure enough I had a broken collarbone.
Too young to remember.
I do however have some memories of reach up and grabbing the cast iron handle on the stove and spilling boiling hot oil all over my arm. That pain was enough to permanently stick in my brain.

Schools won't comply which means it will take some big lawsuits payouts to finally push them to comply.
re: How long before we send in the ground troops?

I agree the victory sign went up too quickly but we killed the supreme leader with the fist strike and eviscerated their entire command and control folks so a little jubilance was warranted.
I wouldn't doubt if we already have people on the ground. They are 100% not leaving until they have confirmation that all nuclear sites are destroyed which means some people on the ground.

Smallest chickens out of all of the fast food joints although the chicken sandwich is bigger than most chains.
I would swear they changed the spice recipe. You used to be able to see the red pepper on the chicken. Spicy now tastes just slightly hotter than mild.
I'm done. Amazing with all of the hot chicken places growing all across the country and the brain trust at Popeyes neuters their spicy.

So you side with the folks who allow women to be killed in the street if they aren't dressed properly.
You side with the people who just slaughtered thousands of their own people because they protest.
Noted.

Worst door dash / Popeyes order ever a couple of weeks ago. Not fair to blame door dash for this one. The guys sat in the store for an hour. He quit waiting after an hour.
I finally received my food almost 2 hours after ordering it. They kept changing the delivery timer. 20 minutes.... 1 hour.... 12 minutes... 45 minutes.
I ordered spicy and got what I think wasn't even mild. I would swear they ran out of spices and it was just flour. Oh, I paid for white meat and received mixed. As is normal now, the side containers were slightly over half filled.
Their customer service is AI and it does nothing and then gives a message that they hope you enjoyed the experience.
I don't get Popeyes often anymore. This moves them much further down the options list.

What do you mean what does it mean. It means they are going to kill every single person they can find that had anything to do with the October attack.

So what begins? They clearly are not going to let the opportunity pass to absolutely destroy the nuclear program which means getting people on the ground to get into the bases and blow them up for good.
No way in hell Israel is going to occupy Iran but they damn sure aren't going to let the opportunity to end the nuclear program get away from them.
I would also imagine they are ending every single person in their database that even did clerical work on the October attack.

I couldn't finish the sequel. The chemistry was missing. Everything was missing. It felt like a poor imitation of the original. It felt like a straight to video movie.
And no Basil Poledouris score.

re: Did we just do in Iran in one afternoon what it took over a decade to do in Iraq?
Posted by TigerMyth36 on 3/1/26 at 2:47 pm to OysterPoBoy
Pump the breaks. The hard part hasn't started which is the Iranian people taking control from the regime. This may not happen. We want it to happen. We don't understand when it doesn't happen but Iraq and Afghanistan show the average person over there isn't interested in controlling their own destiny.
Yes, with the protests, it certainly appears they are more willing than my examples but only time will tell. Are they willing to kill and die for that freedom in large enough numbers to hold onto power and do they know the people who need to be removed to make it happen.

series called Surface that had potential before it got yanked.
There were three sci-fi network shows that I liked that were all cancelled about the same time after the first season in 2005.
This is the point I completely stopped watching anything sci-fi on network tv until the second season was done. I didn't 100% stick to this but I tried.
Surface, Threshold and Invasion. The networks pulled the copycat idea plan and all came out with some form of alien invasion. And all were cancelled after 1 season even though I thought all 3 were decent enough.

How has nobody mentioned his work on Evening Shade which won him a primetime Emmy?
His work in the Fisher King certainly pointed to his sexual orientation.

Abiotic Factor

I can't believe nobody has a post for this gem of a survival game.
Sure it has throwback retro graphics but the game is fantastic.
Trapped in a SCP style laboratory and you have to get out. LOTS of progression. Lots of QOL.
It really deserves some praise. I have 200 hours in the game but you can complete it much faster. I tend to grind resources a lot in case I need them down the road and overdo it a bit.
Pros - Nice and creepy at times. Lots of progression and QOL.
Cons - A bit too long. I hate when you can't snap chests and other buildable items in in place so everything is lined up perfectly. Inventory. The backpack doesn't get big enough through normal progression. I would get the backpack mod from Nexus.
You can make the game as hard or easy as you want in the extensive settings.
Overall, this is a top tier survival game.

re: So does anyone still play enshrouded?

The game was fine when the thread started. As I stated I only stopped because I didn't want to burn out on the game before it was actually finished.
It still isn't finished. I won't go back until it actually releases the 1.0. I haven't paid much attention to the various patches so I don't know if the overall consensus is they have moved in the right direction with patches or the wrong direction.
Any survival game has a big hurdle to get across. How does it compare to Grounded. Heck, I just finished Abiotic Factor so any future games will have Grounded and Abiotic Factor to live up to.

She has already failed. Newsom gave her an easy target and she didn't have the killer instinct to go after him.

Why do you clowns keep saying this? Look at his voting record. Close to 100% in line with Democrats. The only issue he disagrees with them is immigration.

For the moronic downvote, go ahead and explain how a republican wins California or New York now.
Reagan took every single state and only lost Mondale's home state by under 10k. So no, there will never be a larger victory. It will not happen.
