It was too late then also. Once he went to the hospital and pulled the two day black out, that was pretty much the end of him every telling her the truth about any off it. She will have to literally get smacked in the face with evidence at this point (i.e. by in law) to believe anything about Walt's operation.

Er. pulling the cash out of the wall is all it will take to prove it along with a few pounds of blue. But I don't see the story heading in a direction where his family finds out.
Or at least I hope not. I hated on Weeds when she got the whole family involved.

hope you are right. The showdown with the brother in law was pretty much set up on Sunday. That is inevitable.

I hope it's not right before they're whacked. Do you remember when Walt and Jesse were at Tio's house with Tuco, and Tuco found out who Walt really was? He said something to the effect that he liked dealing with family men because they had "collateral." Perhaps this statement is a harbinger of things to come.

Also, remember the mexican song to open the show a few episodes ago. Something along the lines of "Heisenberg's a dead man, he just doesn't know it yet."

It seems like things don't bode well for the White family. I wonder if the opening scenes with the men in the HAZMAT suits and bodies under blankets are glimpses into the series finale.

I doubt it. Purely a red herring. I assume we will see what happened in the season finale.

I agree. That was probably where they were going to end it if the show did not catch on the way it has. I believe the show will continue past it.

underneath those body bags could be some of the mexican cartel.

I'm still not sure what the fire / explosion could be. There is simply no way Walt would cook at home. I wonder if he messed up some of his home repair which will lead to an explosion at some point. Maybe at the moment the Cartel comes to visit. Killing them while Walt and the family are at Piccadilly for dinner.

i'm thinking that he sets up some type of chemical bomb to go off when the cartel reaches his door. Since his car is in the driveway they think he's home.

We just assume that is his minivan.
Many communities have the same style homes on each lot.
What if, the similar minivan is a coincidence to throw us off.
What if the cartel puts out a hit on Walt, but they go to the wrong house?
Have we seen that stuffed animal? If we have then it has to be their house. If not, once again, it may all be a red herring and have nothing to do with Walt.
Maybe he hooked up the water heater wrong and we get a gas explosion at the end of the season. Wonder who they would kill. Hank and his wife? Skylar and Ted cheating while Walt is at school?

Hmmm. Maybe the stuffed animal is for baby girl White.
This show doesn't seem like the type to have babies playing major roles.

I know the stuffed animal could be for the baby, but once again they seem to be steering us to think it is definitely Walt's house with the doll, the glasses, the pool and the van, but it is possible they are just messing with our heads.

This brings me back to the fulminate of mercury thing Walt did to Tuco after Tuco beat up Jesse. That was cool!

I had a long time to think about the show yesterday during my LONG drive from Baton Rouge to Bossier City (and back!). Skyler will have the baby before season’s end. What are the odds that Walt misses the delivery because he’s out doing Heisenberg stuff, thus finally igniting his redheaded powder keg? Skyler’s been simmering under the surface for quite a while, and a stunt like missing the birth of their child may finally send Mrs. White over the edge. She demands that Walt come clean about his whereabouts, past and present, or else she and the kids leave. Perhaps she’s no longer dependent on Walt for her livelihood; it appears to me that she has a good job and may, in fact, be the number one breadwinner in the household. Maybe “Mr. Grabby Hands” is being generous enough to give her paid maternity leave even though she’s only been with the company a short time, hastening her departure from Walt.
I don't like the direction Walt is heading, which only spells disaster for him, his family, and those around him. Walter White is a decent man. "Heisenberg" is not. He needs to let this go but, as I've said before, he's gotten involved with the wrong people and his ego is starting to get-out-of control. I want to see how he gets out of his alternate world without destroying those close to him.

I don't think it is ego at all. Pride to a degree but not ego.
As I said before, he has been living on the edge since his cancer diagnosis. He has been in one nonstop adrenaline rush and he essentially is hooked. I don't think ego is his problem.
Although, I think he got pushed around a bit in life or at least he feels like he was taken advantage of, and now he feels like the Alpha male for the first time in his life.
Power and the adrenaline rush are fueling him now.
He has enough meth for his magic number but it sure didn't take him long to decide to keep at it.
I doubt the dead bodies are anyone important. If skylar or his son die then Walt becomes too unlikable and people stop watching. The same problem with Weeds. The mom on Weeds became so unlikable, I finally stopped watching the show.
I don't think they will make that mistake with Walt, but they have done it already to a degree. He has been acting like a prick on top of the drug dealing.
I think the dead bodies could end up being the guys from the store that he chased off. It was daytime, so maybe they will attack Walt at home while Skylar is at work and maybe his son will be at school.
