I agree this wasn't their best effort, but I am a big Coen Brothers fan and I still enjoyed it. It certainly wasn't the worst movie ever. Not even close.

I liked this movie a lot. I think the reason many of you might not have liked it is because there was really no true likeable character other than maybe B. Pitt or the manager at the gym. It's more of a sad tale than anything else.

Also, I LMAO when Clooney's character showed what's-her-name what he had built in his basement.

When the CIA chief asked what his clearance was and the guy said "3" and he just shrugged and said frick it. Awesome. And when he asked what they wanted to do with Clooney when they picked him up trying to fly to Venezuala, and he said "Put him on a fricking plane to Venezuala".

Exactly!! Even within the CIA they were wanting to make a bigger deal out of situations.

Like when David Rashce was telling J.K. Simmons "They are fishing the body out of the river, should we notify the Police?

Simmons - "shite no, we not want to stir up that mess, burn the body, get rid of it"

There wasn't a point. A fact that they use as comedy. I thought it was funny.

Exactly, I loved it.

Not saying I didn't like it but it is their worst in my mind except for Blood Simple, Lady Killers and Intolerable Cruelty.

This is one of the few that I really have no interest in a rewatch.

i was surprised at how much i liked it. but after reading bad reviews i guess i wasn't expecting much.

it was a little slow to start but definitely picked up. and the end was great.

a ton of little things just cracked me up.

and at the end,

the clip with the two CIA guys was hilarious,

Pitt played his role perfectly. Did anyone sense a Lebowskiness to the phone conversation between Pitt and Malkovich?

You haters must just not have a dark sense of humor. This movie is hilarious, one of the best social satires in years. When Clooney comes downstairs and storms out with that pillow I almost wet myself laughing.

Yeah, to be honest I'm pretty surprised at how many people claim its one of the worst movies they've ever seen yet claim to be Cohen fans. I thought it was very similar to other Cohen comedies.

I finally watched this movie Sunday night. I am still a little confused on whether I liked it or not. One thing I know for sure is that Brad Pitt's character is the movie's greatest redeeming quality. The character reminded me of Tom Cruise's character in Tropic Thunder, the best reason to keep watching.

SPOILER

I like how pretty much everyone got knocked off at the end. Any other ending would not have fit very well.

Really? My favorite part was what happend to him in the closet. I hate a movie when people are intentionally trying to act badly.

That was a great part for sure. But you can't deny he was pretty funny in the movie. "I thought you might be concerned about the security of..... your shite"

I thought he was intentionally cast to play up the misconception that he's a meatheaded pretty boy.
