The "gods" are simply the movie viewing audience (or in this case the typical horror movie viewer). The typical horror movie goer gets pissed because the normal horror scenario isn't followed in the movie (i.e. everyone but the virgin/main character dies).
What makes it even funnier to me is that not only does this satire work in context of the film but I see tons of comments on here by people saying it was dumb when they clearly went in expecting a normal horror flick and hated it. So the satire of the film manages to be true to life for the film itself as well, which is great.
