Zendaya is viewed by directors and film executives as just another hot commodity who can bring in extra box office revenue due to her career as a singer. Her acting ability is mediocre at best and nothing about her performances are memorable at all.
Nolan is a pretty serious director who cares about his films and the performances of the actors who star in them. He isn’t just some “yes sir” director who will bow down to corporate executives. How Zendaya managed to get casted in a Nolan film is something I want to know more about.
