Disney never went anywhere sure they've been subpar with a number of their movies
Those two things don’t jive.

but financially they're going to be fine.
And that doesn’t jive with your “subpar movies” comment.

This movie was always going to make a shite ton of money simply for the fact that Stich is just too damn popular to fail.
So by your own logic, Disney isn’t actually back; it simply cashed in on a guaranteed payday by redoing one of its popular films.
You are all over the place, bruh.

Who knew sticking closer to the source material was a winning formula?

Maybe you're just failing at understanding my point. Disney making some bad or just ok movies doesn't mean Disney went anywhere. Disney has still put out some decent to solid content. The notion that they're falling apart or hurting financially is ludicrous. It would take an extremely long period of flops and bad movies for Disney to actually starting falling apart

I took the kids to see it. They loved it, and it is because of what you said. The movie is almost shot for shot from the animation, and the stuff they added made sense for the story. There was zero “message.” It is a straightforward family movie geared for kids. Will Disney learn from this? Probably not.

The thing is they shouldn’t be even struggling or have consistent flops. They have such a built in formula for success, rich history, and beloved IP it shouldn’t be hard to continuously print money. Like how do they not have a new princess movie with 3-4 ear worms ready to go every 2-3 years for a new crop of 3-5 year old girls? It’s SO easy for them if they want it to be.

I agree about Cobra Bubbles. The guy that voiced him in the cartoon should've been cast as him. I didn't have a problem with Jumba. But I will say skinny Zach Galiafanakis just is not the same.

They tried, he already had commits and couldn’t do it.

Saw it yesterday. The kids loved it. We aren’t an lilo and stitch household and I have only seen bits and pieces of the original. Not sure what changes were made but I thought it was pretty good
