When I was in grade school a friend of mine was on the show for "celebrity" Double Dare. He was paired with Jeremy Miller (Ben Seaver of Growing Pains fame). He always talked about how "Ben" only knew one answer on the show to a question that was ridiculously easy. But he mostly lamented how it took the kid "28" seconds just to get past the Sundae Slide, so they only got thru like four of the seven obstacles.
Always thought it was funny that to this day he remembers how long it took him.

used to watch double dare religiously, though i thought 'What Would You Do?' was better
