one of the best movies of 2009, period.
It's amazing to see Chow Yun Fat improve upon his badass HK image and do a movie like this.
also, Jamie Chung from RR Seattle fame is so awesome at kung fu or karate or whatever u call it

Is this the same thing as Dragon Ball Z and GT and such but a real life movie?

Barely, other than the names, it has very little ties to the anime.

AZNs will love it.
I thought it was damn good, considering....
It's deliberately filmed/written in a manner that is not conducive to "good" movies, but is true to its roots.
Given that, it's a very good movie, but many people will hate it.
