Guy pussed out. Snake barely got its mouth on the guy's head and he bailed because his arm got scratched. Failed to catch the big snake, and the stand in couldn't handle the job anyway since the guy was in a humongous armored tank that posed as a suit.

He had no intentions of getting swallowed - he gave himself an out. He removed the forearm and leg carbon fiber exoskeleton because he claimed he needed mobility, then when the constriction made his arm numb, he bailed. Of COURSE the snake was going to constrict him, and of COURSE it would result in loss of feeling in unprotected limbs. He knew this going in and built the excuses into the process.

I feel like there is a very real possibility that he actually went through with it and Discovery just didn't have the balls to air it in light of all the pressure from PETA. Not saying that's what happened, but it is definitely a plausible possibility.

I don't think that snake was big enough to swallow him anyways but who knows. An anaconda should have been able to swallow him and his big helmet though. They can swallow hippos and shite and they have pretty big heads.
