how many other african american family based cartoons are there on television right now?
and cleveland might not be able to carry a show, but if the formula stays true- he won't have to. the show will be filled with so many different pop culture references and cutaways you won't even know it.

Boondocks. Greatest cartoon ever.
I agree that Cleveland isn't the best character, but the best part about Family Guy is all the other supporting characters. This will give MacFarlane an opportunity to introduce new characters.

Cleveland is a great choice because he's strong enough to anchor another show and isn't integral to the Family Guy dynamic.
You can't pull Brian or Quagmire out of there, you'll kill the show. Move Cleveland out and put some strong characters backing him up.
And Boondocks is possibly the best (visually) animated program out there. It's ten times better than the strip has been in years. It takes balls to bring back a pissed off MLK Jr.

Yes, heard about this being released maybe 2 months ago on love-line when seth mcfarland was a guest.
