Halloween, the shining, the omen, rosemary's baby, hellraiser, pretty much all of them. I also love the original haunting. Hope they play it on tmc again this year

My 8 year old would say anything with Hannah Montana in it.

My DVD player. Almost all the movies I own are either horror or horse related. I am watching the shining on amc. I saw where they are playing 13 ghosts this year. It was a horrible movie, but I caught most of the original on tcm last week. I wish it hadn't been so late because it was much better than the new one.

Spellbinder w/ Kelly Preston. Awesome twist at the end.
Scariest horror movie: Poltergeist.

The Evil Dead. The first one. Sci-fi channel on halloween used to have zombie-a-go-go, a horror movie fest hosted by rob zombie. And they played the first evil dead, always reminds me of halloween, freaking awesome movie.

It's hard to understand in a contemporary context, because the film's devices have been run into the ground since its release, but Jaws fricked people up for life when it came out. I was very young when I saw it, and it made me wary of deep water for years. Tourism to beach destinations took a dip, and the great white phenomenon was born. The tagline of the sequel, "Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water" was a response to this effect.
And of course, the "monster" is a very real animal. Nothing compares to that psychological effect when it comes to horror.
