To a degree it is still a right and left thing since the media helps foster that belief in my opinion. The majority of newspapers and network new is liberal. Please lets not get in that argument. Fox is conservative, the rest is liberal.
And if you check the boards it is overwhelmingly left vs. right on the issue of the Letterman comments.
I have yet to see a Liberal that isn't defending the Letterman comments. Just go to the poli board.

Anybody consider the fact that the staffer who wrote the joke for Dave made a mistake and actually meant Palin's oldest daughter who actually is a famous baby mama ho. That would make sense. For the life of me I can't even find a basis for including the 14 year old daughter in this joke.
