Ned wouldn't swear loyalty to Joffrey .
He would for the lives of his children, which is what he did before he was killed. There's also no reason for him to spread the news about his parentage since Stannis would take care of that regardless. The one bit of information he would get out would be about LF.

Those night raids are what the Dothraki are perfect for. Cavalry works best at night when you can't prepare for them.
Yea, the only reason why this story isn't over is they had to lengthen it. Dany could have ransacked King's Landing for awhile now with just a marginal loss, if any.
I still believe that it is a blessing in disguise how this is all playing out. Had she been so quick to win it is very, very possible their would have been a bigger conflict between here and the rest of the North. With the Whitewalkers destroying everything in it's path in the process. She seemed to have zero interest in alliance with Snow until the latest news arrives of Jamie's offensive.

I noticed that no one is bitching about Mark Mylod having directed this episode . Is he off the haters' list??
To be honest, I don't really follow who directs the episodes like a lot of y'all do. I wouldn't know my arse from a hole in the ground when it comes to directors of tv shows.

Yea. I think the entire story would revolve around the Seven Kingdoms under some Lannister inbred trying to fight off Dany in the South and the Night King in the North. If Ned Lives everything changes. Hell if Cat isn't a dumb twat everything changes.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense from the show perspective why she hasn't won already. The Tyrells and Dornish alone should have enough to sack King's Landing.
In the books I'm guessing that Aegon will be sitting on the Iron Throne by the time Dany arrives with severely depleted forces, to where she has no real hope in conquering the Seven Kingdoms.

Holy shite could you imagine Joffrey running that shitshow?
Hilarity would ensue.

I think the Purple Wedding is still a 50/50 chance of occurring, to where he may not have gotten that far.

Yep. Mankind in westeros ends and the Night King sits on the Iron Throne.

If LF isn't involved I don't think Purple Wedding happens.

Yeah, that's my qualm with it, although I do think Olenna would be clever enough to carry it on her own.

In the books, does anyone find out Jon snow is a targarean? I genuinely curious if anyone in the north will turn on their vows to Jon when they find out he's not of Ned's descent?
Jon is still dead in the books. Got a long ways to go before Jon has to worry about losing northern bannerman

I have to say, after thinking it through, I think Olenna's death is my favorite in the series. It's about time a character goes out on a high note.
The only way it could have been better is to have that scene be the reveal to the audience as well as Jaime.

Just a thought regarding how Olenna died. I can't imagine Jaime actually talking Cersei into allowing Olenna to die the way she did, with no pain or embarrassment.
I'm waiting for a future scene where Cersei asks why Jaime didn't bring Olenna back to KL for justice and he replies something like "she poisoned herself when she saw us coming."

Well she didn't know Olenna was responsible for Joffrey's death. Cersei just didn't like her personally, and blowing up her son and grandchildren was enough punishment for that.

What? The USAAF ran almost no night missions over Germany. They stuck to their guns, so to speak, bombing by day until a long range escort force came into being by about 1/1/44.
By May 1st the USAAF had crushed the German day fighter force.

I don't see Jaime going back to KL for a while. I feel like he's gonna stay at Highgarden or go to Casterly Rock to try and get the Unsullied.

Refreshing to see that someone else has known the obvious for the last season and a half about. This chick had the Dothraki, the unsullied, Dornish, and Tyrell's with 3 f'ing dragons to boot and a northern king who is all but saying he will help if you start noticing the problems we have in the North.
I just shake my head at television sometimes

Come to think of it, you're right. It was the RAF that did the night missions.

Yeah it seems to me that the writers will bring forward a convoluted scenario where Ser Jorah shows up to take all in hand for Dany and subdue all the Lanmister forces.
That would be clever and make Samwell Tarly the big hero.

Why? Jaime just thought she was a quick witted old lady who did just about what anyone would do in her situation. There was no bad blood between Olenna and Jaime. The conversation shows it when Olenna gives him good counsel and was genuine. I do think Olenna was sincere that she felt bad for Jaime having to go through and witness that.

It would not surprise me if Cersei did command him to bring her back and was going to go through on these threats, but that he brought poison along to make sure that didn't happen to her. But honestly, I don't think Jaime will see Cersei again until he kills her.
