Hbo or hbo Max? Because those are two very different services IMO.
How?

I have Netflix Hulu TV and Prime but I get My moneys worth out of the prime shipping anyway.
I have HBO through Prime

I have HBO, Netflix, and Prime. I think it comes down to a quality vs quantity preference.
HBO for quality
Netflix for quantity

HBO Now does that stream on roku still
Last time I used HBO Now on roku. I got a message that HBO Now would no longer be available after July 31 and to download HBO Max which isn't available on roku.

I have Netflix, hbo, and Hulu. I also pay for Prime for shipping reasons so I see having the stream is an extra benefit.
I got the CBS All Access last fall so I can watch football when I was out of the house and kept it because they actually have a surprisingly decent amount of content.

Besides movie premieres on HBO, which aren’t happening now, all 4 suck.

YouTube TV should not be in the same genres of streaming services as HBO/Netflox/Prime Video.
To me, YouTube TV is for people who like live sports but don't want to pay ridiculous cable package prices.
The other services supplement YouTube TV and have their own original content and on demand movies/tv shows.
Exactly.

I've tried em all, I'm a streaming junkie. These are good times for cord cutters and movie lovers, you can jump in and out of a service with no cancel fees, come back later when new content arrives that you like. I'll come back to Netflix when new season of Ozark arrives. Currently using The Criterion Channel streaming service and it is superb, only been out for about a year now, lot's of great foreign movies restored from likes of Bergman, Fellini, etc., along with American/British classics. Will give HBO Max another shot whenever they strike a deal with Roku.

Yea I don’t think roku and hbo have agreed to terms yet. I’ve had to use an old chromecast to stream hbo, which has been fine.

I keep Prime all the time and jump around among the others.

HBO has defintely had new movies come out over the last couple months. JoJo Rabbit and Richard Jewell are 2 newer ones I’ve seen on there

Hbo Max has more content, a lot more.
And hbo is definitely putting out new movies every Friday, like they always do. Not sure what that guy is talking about. jojo was entertaining and Richard Jewell is great. Big fan of Sam Rockwell.

They are the same thing

The best thing you can do is get a free trial for every live streaming service and see what works best for you.

No, they’re not. HBO is the service that HBO cable subscribers receive. HBO Max is the stand alone service with tons of Non-HBO films and series. Some HBO cable subscribers receive Max at no charge, but it depends on the cable provider.

They are two different services completely. Hbo Max has like 5x the content.
I get the confusion especially because they dropped hbo go or hbo now and are just calling it the hbo app. But either way, hbo Max is a stand alone service.

Same but we dropped Cox for YTTV.
I mainly watch series and watch HBO and Netflix the most.

Currently am carrying Xfinity (Houston cable), Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney (year), & Apple+(year). Have HBO max by default because I pay for HBO/Showtime package through Xfinity. I know, I am an idiot. Going to cut the chord on cable soon. Will keep Netflix, Prime & HBO max for sure and maybe Hulu. Disney seems to be more focused on kids and Apple+ just doesn't have enough content.
A while back in one of these threads someone mentioned you could get local news and content on one of the providers. Does anyone know which one that is? Also, what's the best for national news?
