I just got out of Homestead which is a movie about a group of survivors during a grid down situation.It was decent, but some characters made some stupid decisions in a SHTF scenario. This is the first part in a series from what I can tell.
I’m still waiting for someone to do a One Second After movie.

Just watched it.
Not fully what I expected. It was more about internal strife and dealing with the ones who wanted in and the local government bureaucrat and his communist attitude. Looks like it will be a drama like series.
I was expecting them vs the evading forces.

I had to stop at Walgreens to get some Lactaid because this movie was straight cheese. I also didn’t realize going in that it wasn’t a movie but a pilot for a tv show. I’m also pretty shocked that nobody pointed out to the writers that blowing up a barrel of nuclear waste does not create a nuclear explosion

It had excellent potential at the start, but went downhill quickly. I guess since it’s a faith based film they didn’t want much killing in it. That was unrealistic given how society breaks down quickly in disaster.
Also, I didn’t appreciate the interracial marriage and the interracial love story. I wanted more white people!!!

At least they didn't have any same sex couples. However there is a budding romance with two kids. Also making it a love story.

Can't believe this is playing at the theaters. Hard to imagine people paid money for this if they knew it was a lead into a series. Show has so many holes in it.
