Thanks... I think I’m going to go with Haunt and Hereditary next up.

Haven’t seen it but I’m familiar with it. Pass

Whatever you do, don't ever watch Human Centipede 2. Trust me.

Baskin 2015. It’s a Turkish horror film. This is of course if you want disturbing and messed up. I hope you don’t mind subtitles. It’s worth a watch.

I didn't care for Baskin, but several people around here loved it. It's definitely mindfrick-weird though, if that's what you're after.

Baskin was great up until the final 30 minutes or so. The build up is fantastic and when things finally take off is great as well but then I felt it just fell flat.

Angel Heart was good. Some of the film didn’t age well but, watching Rourke and De Niro spar is fun. They constantly went off script supposedly.

I just watched the trailer for House of the Devil. Looks terrifying.

Watch Haunt, you can find it on Prime.

I just searched for Haunt on amazon prime. Started watching and I’m feeling like damn this is really starting out GOOD. Then it ended.

It was apparently an 11 minute movie short

Oh well, I’ll try to find the unrelated, full length movie now. Ha

For the folks who recommended Haunt... there’s more than one movie with same title aside from the short film I just watched....

Which movie do you guys recommend?

Haunt (2019) — on Halloween, six friends encounter an extreme haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears.

Haunt (2014) — when his family moved into a new home, a boy befriends a mysterious neighbor and unwittingly summons a demon.

They both sound potentially legit... just curious which is the recommended one.

The Wailing sucks IMHO. I didn’t get anything out of it other than like 2-3 shots I liked

Hereditary was good... although I don’t exactly know what the hell happened at the very end.

I think I like supernatural stuff the best. This provided it and in a creepy way.

Maybe I missed something about the end. But I’ve been drinking all night, so it’s possible.

Good stuff. I’ll do Haunt (2014 vs 2019?) and Don’t Breathe next up.

If Baskin is mentioned, The Void must be mentioned. Weird movie with great design.

Also, the Suspiria remake is worth watching. It’s the exact opposite of the original in a way that works.

The original was short. The remake is very long.
The original had a very colorful palpate. The remake has a very stark palpate similar to what you would find in East Germany at the time.
The remake has a much more involved plot.
The remake is much much more brutal and shocking

This should be a classic but rarely gets mentioned:

The Others
The Orphanage

If you like ghost stories these should be canon.

I liked the remake of Evil Dead. Mama was a good movie as well.
