Well lady’s and gents it’s almost time to move on from the greatest debate of our generation, did HBO frick up blood and cheese?

What do you think we will see this episode?

- An obvious one is the footage from the trailer of the funeral for Aegons son
- Aegon starts becoming more unhinged and reckless while we see Aemon Cole and the Hightowers begin plotting the trap at rooks rest which they already were to a degree subtlety in episode 1
- What I am most excited for and hope we see is the aftermath of what happened after Cregan got the raven about Luke’s death. The scene cuts away right when he reads it. I think the show will involve the Starks much more in the actual war and play up to he bond between Cregan and Jayce.
- Daemon will move on Harrenhall

It’s the weekend? Why not? The episode one was started a week in advance and no one complained because it isn’t a big deal.

What is this bond between Jace and Cregan that everyone is so excited about? I mean, I see a lot of weirdos hoping they have gay sex but a lot of regular fans are reading something into their 3 minutes of screen time too. I don't get it.

Fwiw No more Cregan Stark in S2

He spends a lot more time at winterfell on fire and blood with a man who just finished having to put down a civil war against his own family like Jayce is now. They form a marriage alliance. It’s easy to draw they’re good friends and Cregan was somewhat of a mentor to Jayce. No one wants them to have gay sex sounds like projection.

Cregan is also a total Chad who at the end of the war completely establishes his will and savagely ends what’s left of the greens.

quote:

Cregan and the prince got along well, as Jacaerys reminded Cregan of his late younger brother. After spending time drinking, hunting, and training, Cregan and Jacaerys swore an oath of brotherhood

Sounds like a bond to me.

Ok so you're a book reader which should make you well aware that they never see each other again once Jace leaves the North. How do you continue to play up the bond when one of them is dead? Also, the Starks play almost no role in the dance until the very end.

The actor who plays Cregan is awful.

That's been a theory floating around even since before the show. It's blown up now. All over X, Reddit, and TikTok. And I agree, it's projection.

I literally wrote in my OP I expect them to heavily expand the role the Starks play in the Dance and not just relegate them to the Hour of the Wolf at the end. Did you not read it? That’s how I expect the show to move forward, but I could be wrong and they could play it straight like the books. Seems unlikely since they’re already making major changes like Baela being at Rooks Rest which I’m not against at all since she will have to witness her grandma die and it will grow her character.

Seems like a huge jump seeing as Cregan explained to Jace he basically needs every healthy, young man to stay in the north. Plus, none of the previews have shown any Stark soldiers in any battles.

I’d prefer they stick closer to the book. It’s already deviated to the point of pushing D&D for shittiest story telling.

Seriously, he started talking and I immediately knew he wasn’t a true northern brit, accent was off. Looked it up and sure enough he’s from Surrey, why couldn’t they get a real Yorkshire man?

I thought the guy who played Cregan did ok actually. If that’s his only appearance this season that kinda sucks but as has been stated the Starks are kind of the ones who end the dance of dragons and Cregan goes full Tywin Lannister in Kings Landing. Those 1000s of old men he sends die quickly.

There’s some leaked still frames of the episode out there that weren’t in any trailers if anyone cares to see them.
